Fall Snacks: Pumpkin Spice Latte and Snack Toast

Have you ever had one of those days where half-way through you’re screaming ‘Do Over! I need a Do Over!’ Today was one of those days for me. Nothing seemed to be going right until after I got home. However, now that today has ended (or nearly ended), the rest of it wasn’t really that bad. I’m testing out the new ‘Wen’ conditioner I bought while I sip my new found replacement to ‘the Evil Mermaid’s’ Pumpkin Spice Latte and watch the season premiere of Modern Family.

Since I found out last month that Starbucks is being super closed off with it’s allergen content I’ve decided to not to purchase from them (unless there was nothing else around…then I might…I’m not one for will-power). They seem to be taking the safe approach for them, if one thing has gluten in it EVERYTHING does. Which… is fine if they don’t expect me or other gluten-free people to purchase from them anytime soon.

Anyway, with the lack of Starbucks pumpkin spice latte I found myself sad and lacking a seasonal hot beverage. Until Kbouldin over at GlutenFreeisLife informed me of Panera’s new (Gluten-Free) Pumpkin Spice Latte. That HAD to happen. And so, while Bo picked up his dinner, I picked up a latte and made myself a snack. The snack of choice to go with my latte was toast with peanut butter, nutella, and banana slices. It turned out pretty good If I do say so myself.

The latte was delicious. Warm and with the perfect punch of pumpkin. While it isn’t exactly like ‘the evil mermaid’s’ it is still wonderful and I don’t have to spaz out about if I’m going to get gluten’d. UNLIKE ‘the evil mermaid’ Panera tells me what is gluten-free and what isn’t which, as a note, I appreciate.

In closing, I highly recommend the Panera pumpkin spice latte if you need a replacement for ‘the evil mermaid’… and watch Modern Family…it’s hilarious.
